Who is Aggie?
Have you seen Aggie? Well, if not, now is your chance to meet her! Meet Aggie, the friendly and knowledgeable cow mascot of Durham Farm Connections! Aggie is a proud ambassador for local agriculture who’s hoovin’ it across the Durham Region to show you all that the Durham Region agricultural community has to offer.
Born on a sunny spring morning, Aggie quickly became known for her curiosity. While her herd grazed quietly, Aggie could often be found observing the rhythms of the farm, watching planting seasons unfold, noticing the work behind the equipment, and learning how food makes it from farm to table for all her human friends to enjoy.
Today, Aggie is a familiar sight at local farms, fairs, farmers’ markets, agricultural events, and community celebrations. Whether she’s attending a festival, farming behind the scenes, or appearing alongside food producers on social media.
Her purpose is simple: to help people better understand where their food comes from, how it’s produced, and why supporting local farms matters more than ever.
Every farm has a story, and Aggie is here to help it be told.
